The VSNE  is dedicated to:

Mission and Values:

  • Dedicated to preserving Veerashaiva Lingayata dharma as envisioned by Jagajyoti Basavanna and all the Sharanas.
  • Promoting Basavanna’s Teachings: Upholding the universal values of Kayaka (selfless work as worship), Dasoha (sharing of knowledge and resources), and equality, as envisioned by Jagajyoti Basavanna and the Sharanas.

 

Family Harmony:

  • Focuses on bringing harmony intals of Basavanna — fostering unity and equality beyond caste or creed, nurturing a community rooted in compassion, wisdom, and spiritual growth.
  • VSNE believes that a spiritually-aligned family is the bedrock of a just society. The organization emphasizes:

 

Key aspects:

  • The organization emphasizes:  Cultivating unity and mutual respect within families through the understanding of Guru-Linga-Jangama Tatva, the triune pillars that guide the individual and collective journey toward Shivayoga (union with divine consciousness).

  • Encouraging  spiritual practices (Ishtalinga Pooje and Vachana Sahitya) that bring inner peace, clarity, and shared purpose among family members.

 

VSNE – New England Chapter:

  • Largest, most dynamic, and highly interactive chapter.
  • Mission to foster and preserve Veerashaiva Lingayata dharma. 

 

Annual Events:

  • Regularly organizes events such as Shivaratri, Basava Jayanthi, Picnic, Family camping, and Deepavali celebrations.
  • Focus on promoting and strengthening Basava and all shanas  Philosophy.

 

Activities Throughout the Year:

  • Hosts Veerashaiva lingayata dignitaries, Satsang, cultural, charitable, and volunteering activities.
  • Advocates and advances the values of Veerashaiva Lingayatism.

 

Educational Initiatives:

  • Conducts Vachana classes for kids.
  • Organizes Anna Dasoha and Jnyana Dasoha.
